Equine Affaire 2007

Equine Affaire offers OHC members a chance to "get out and meet the public" as well as "get out and greet each other".  The display showcases the fact that our organization encompasses all breeds and all disciplines. From Tennessee Walkers, to Quarter Horses, to Arabians, and miniatures our members could be  involved in any aspect of equine sport or pleasure. Every County Chapter had a chance to tell their story in the form of a "chapter book" and we had almost 90% of the chapters represented. The Equine Affaire Committee and Committee Chair, Linda Weese,  did a great job of pulling together this years display which included the additional challenge of being in a different location.  This year our booth moved from the hallway into the main exhibit area of the Voinivich building at the Ohio Expo Center.

The set-up volunteers arrived mid-day Wednesday, unloading the trailer and setting up the display.  Banners had to be hung, the waterfall needed to be built, along with a trail maintenance display on how to "bench" a trail. By early evening we were ready for the next days visitors.
OHC "Booth Greeters" were on hand to tell the "OHC Story"  and the black Chapter Banners made for an impressive site.  Many visitors were drawn to our location next to the demo ring and our "Come Ride with Us" banner invited them in.
It's a lot of work to put together the display...but many hands make short work of clean-up process.

..................See you again next year!
