(OHC) is a non-profit corporation organized in the state of Ohio to provide a vehicle for equine owners and supporters to share ideas and suggestions for all horse related issues, through education, organized trail rides, and other social and service functions. We provide resources to promote the building and maintenance of bridle trails throughout the state of Ohio and provide financial resources and volunteer services to fellow organizations that support equine related activities.

Youth Group Photo Contest

The Youth group’s Photo Contest is back by popular demand!  This year, we need action shots for the photo contest. Please note that eligible contestants must be OHC members up to 18 years of age. The contest will still be held at the OHC Equine Affaire Youth booth.
  • Picture size 8 x 11
  • Picture of a child with a horse
  • Age groups will be 11 and under and 12 to 18 years old
  • Pictures are non-returnable
  • Cash prizes are for 1st, 2nd, 3rd
Pictures can be sent to Libby Fitzwater or turned in Wednesday, April 8th 2015 at setup of the OHC Equine Affaire booth.

Volunteers Needed

OHC Volunteers needed at Equine Affaire® 2015

Volunteers are needed to represent OHC at Equine Affaire April 8th - 12th 2015.

Incentive to volunteer more
1 - 8hr shift - one ticket to enter FREE
1 - 4hr shift on 2 days - one ticket to enter on second day FREE
1 - 4hr shift on 3 or more days - tickets to enter each day FREE

This is a great opportunity to talk to potential new members about OHC and what we do.  Sign up on the volunteer webpage for as many time slots as you are available.  http://www.ohiohorsemanscouncil.com/volunteersignup.aspx. We will be located in the Bricker building in booth 800-803.  On the day of the event volunteers please sign in at the Bricker building booth.

I want to thank all of you for volunteering and helping out at Equine Affaire this year.  Without your help we wouldn't be able to pull this all together.  Take a look at the Volunteer webpage on the State OHC website to see when you have signed up.  You can see there are many slots still open so if you have only signed up for 4 hours could you please sign up for another four hours so we know that the booths will be covered.
  • Wednesday, April 8th SETUP
    • We'll start setup at Equine Affaire at 10am.  So you can sleep in a little.  Take a look at the attachment you can see where our booths are and what doors we are to use for setup and breakdown.  In the Bricker building we will use door F and we are in booth 800 - 803.  Come to the Bricker building OHC booth for setup and for signing in during the whole event.  You will need to sign in every day you volunteer.  If you are working multiple days you have a chance to get free tickets into the trade show.
  • Thursday, April 9th 9am - 7pm
    • Come to the Bricker Building OHC booth. Sign in and find out where we need you to volunteer.
  • Friday, April 10th 9am - 7pm
    • Come to the Bricker Building OHC booth. Sign in and find out where we need you to volunteer.
  • Saturday, April 11th 9am - 7pm
    • Come to the Bricker Building OHC booth. Sign in and find out where we need you to volunteer.
  • Sunday, April 12th 9am - 5pm,  BREAK DOWN BOOTHS at 5pm
    • Come to the Bricker Building OHC booth. Sign in and find out where we need you to volunteer.
    • At 5pm we break down the booth and pack up.  We will use the same doors as we used for setup.
