Volunteer at The All American Youth Horse Show 2014

The All American Youth Horse Show dates are May 15-16-17-18 This is a fundraiser for the State OHC and a chance to promote all of OHC. We need help working the gates of the coliseum at the state fairgrounds. Basically getting the kids and their horses in and out of the coliseum in a safe and orderly manner. You can sign up on the OHC State web site or contact me at 614-314-4109 call or text. When you sign up keep my contact info in case you have to cancel. We will have a sign in/food trailer east (I-71 side) of the coliseum. Help get the word out. This is about helping the kids have a safe time and letting them know about OHC as it is a fund raiser.
Malabar Farm Trail closings

MALABAR FARM STATE PARK announces that the Pleasant Valley Bridle Trail at Malabar will be closed in the "Sugar Woods" during the annual Maple Syrup Festival and maple season. This closure is due to activities related to the collection of maple sap. The rest of trail remains open and the closed section will reopen by mid April.

Mohican Memorial Forest trail closings

MOHICAN MEMORIAL STATE FOREST announces the following temporary bridle trail closures:

Due to annual pipeline maintenance activities with our agreement with Columbia Gas, certain trails will be closed effective Monday the 24th (or there abouts) for at least 4 – 5 weeks approximately. Please see attachment.

Trails Closed

  • The Blue Bridle trail north of State Route 97
  • Portion of the Mountain Bike Trail from the State Forest bike trailhead parking to the Class A State Park campground (mile 15 to mile 23 ½)

These are M-F closures predominately. Efforts will be made to open them for weekends although this will not be possible every weekend but we will do our best.
